Countess Vaughn, fast-talking co-star of the hit show "Moesha"
and kids from all over the world will preview Sega's "Sonic R,"
a new Sonic racing game not available until November
at Epcot Innoventions at The Walt Disney World Resort on
Saturday, Oct. 11, Noon-2 p.m.
It is to kick-off a nationwide charity event to benefit the Children's Health Fund and launch the raucous-racing game, "Sonic R". "Sonic R" for Sega Saturn is a fast 3D road race to the finish between Sonic, Dr. Rubotnick, Tails, Amy and Knuckles. Kids at Epcot Innoventions, an interactive technological attraction, will get to play the game and give their feedback to Sega before the game is finished. Sega officially launches the "Sonic R" Charity Challenge on Thanksgiving Day. Kids and their parents can call Sega's free hotline to say the "Sonic Phrase that Pays." Sega will make a donation for each caller, totaling up to $35,000, to the national Children's Health Fund. Participants in the "Sonic R" Charity Challenge can win a trip to Epcot Innoventions at The Walt Disney World Resort to serve as "Innoventor for a Day" at Sega Innoventions and receive the latest games for Sega Saturn.
