In a move to unite the online gaming community and strengthen the industry, Kesmai Corporation's GameStorm and SegaSoft Networks Inc.'s HEAT.NET today announced a unique co-marketing agreement. The two online gaming powerhouses are teaming up to provide subscribers access to each other's games and content, under "one-button" access and consolidated billing. Each service plans to offer reduced-rate subscriptions for gamers who sign up for both services.
HEAT.NET will appear as the "fast action" channel on GameStorm, launched by Kesmai today as a complete, "end-to-end gaming nirvana." And GameStorm will appear as the "massively multiplayer" channel on HEAT.NET, the fastest growing games network. GameStorm members will receive the basic Perimeter HEAT.NET membership as part of their $9.95 monthly GameStorm fee, which includes unlimited play of all games. HEAT.NET's Premium membership will also be available to GameStorm members at a reduced rate. Conversely, GameStorm membership will be offered to HEAT.NET subscribers at a reduced rate. "We are thrilled to be joining forces with HEAT to build the ultimate value proposition for online gamers," said Chris Holden, CEO of Kesmai. "Together, we can offer the largest collection of online-only and CD-ROM-based games available anywhere, under one bill, one relationship, one easy-to-use software package." "This is a great relationship for online gamers and the industry," said Gary Griffiths, President and CEO of SegaSoft. "Together, HEAT and GameStorm increase the number of great games available, people to play against, and the ability to attract more customers to the world of Internet gaming."
