Console Wars: Our Console/Our Team

I am gonna try to keep this short as possible. Are you a sports fan? If so then you know the fun of going all out for your team and bashing the others. Especially that one team you really don't like. Here in the Carolina's you either like Clemson or Gamecocks and hate the other. It's fun to hate the other and go on and on about your team. It works like that in the video game console wars. Take that away and you have taken half the fun of gaming away from a lot of us. Even if you are not a sports fan, you know what I mean. We take great pleasure in this competition/war thing. Our system is like our team. We get upset when our team isn't doing good, happy when it wins a dispute like can make a certain game better than the others (sort of like your team winning the ballgame), and etc. Without this, it would be like owning a VCR. It sits there. Nothing special about it. Except you can enjoy it once in a while. Which is fine to the casual gamer. But the hardcore gamer needs more. Besides it is all a game. Take sides, favorite teams, is just part of the game. A game that we want our system/team to win in the end (superbowl!).
