why Working Designs is important to Sega gamers
Catch22
eTOMAS@concentric.netI think some of the readers out there have facts a little mixed up about Working Designs. Working Designs is only a "translation"/publishing company; meaning that they translate text from Japanese to English, and improve upon little parts of the game that needs it.
Why do we Sega gamers need Working Designs? They bring stuff out to the US that nobody would touch. Like for instance, would we have seen Dragon Force, or Iron Storm on Saturn if not for them? I don't think Sega would have picked them out to be published here. Besides, Working Designs and company translate the text to their original Japanese meaning. Some companies put text in different to the Japanese original, which we see in dubbed versions of Anime videos too. They do things that is a must to the "hardcore" video game fan. And if not for them, could we expect Lunar or Albert Odyssey being translated by SOA...no way buddy. With Virus and Grandia still out there, and if Sega does not publish these themselves (we know how stupid they are), then who will? It's scary to think that these RPG's won't make it to these shores, especially being that these are the best RPG's supposedly, that will hit the Saturn since Sakura Taisen (Working Designs should have translated this!!!). So think about it when you say that we don't need WD. BTW, no WD, no Sega Ages; cause again, Sega wouldn't have put this baby out.
