Who Says SOA is Dumb?

SOA is more than likely composed of business managers, marketers, and engineers. These people do not miscalculate.

Putting WD in a crap booth has been criticized by who? The same 3-4 thousand people who keep e-mailing them for more RPGs? The simple reason SOA doesn't make many RPGs or need other companies to make RPGs is because nobody likes them here. Sure you'll find 'a lot' of people proclaiming the greatness of RPGs on the web here, but most gamers in the U.S. are just casual gamers who go for the flair in a game (MK, SF), w/o the patience to sit down w/ a good rpg.

Now I am like most of you and would love to see many Japanese games coming into the U.S., but there is just no demand. How many adults do you know have a Saturn? For me, 0/40. How many teens do you know have a Saturn? For me, 3/37. How many teens do you know that play games have a Saturn? For me, 2/11 (and I use to wonder why my local blockbuster doesn't carry many Saturn games). Of those that play games, how many play RPGs? For me, 3.5/11. Admittedly, my #s are probably lower than in some other parts of the country, (NY, LA) but as far as I can see, SoA is playing their cards on the majority, as any company does. This is kind of obvious, but I think sometimes we forget what Sega is about. They say 'service' and 'games', but I think it is all survival and $$.
