Is everyone blind?

kevant@concentric.netCan anyone else see the stupid patterns developing in opinions of Sega and the Saturn? Almost everyday there are new articles and new editorials on "what Sega has done wrong" and "why I don't like Sega anymore".
The fact is a lot of people are saying Sega is not supporting the gamers that own the Saturn. Can someone please tell me how they reached this conclusion? First off let's talk about developers leaving the Sega platform. This is only U.S. and European developers, the reason, they are lazy!!! Not one software developer or publisher in Japan has abandoned the Saturn. Why? They are not afraid of the hardware or pissing off Sony. Capcom has been at odds with Sony for over a year over which games Sony calls "substandard" In fact Capcom is probably the greatest game developer in the world and they just strengthened their Saturn plans. They reaffirmed their commitment to Sega gamers by announcing Darkstalkers 3, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, and Biohazard 2. I don't care about Shiny or Eidos, Shiny has only ever had Earthworm Jim (whooppee, it was fun when I was 14), and Eidos has only ever had Tomb Raider, which unlike the masses, I felt was a big disappointment on both systems. These developers can't even tell the truth, Both of them deny receiving any moneys from Sony for console exclusivity.
Now on to Working Designs, I love their games. In fact my brother and I own almost all of them, but come on If we're lucky they publish 2 games a year and Sega is supposed to put them on a throne? I was at E3 and a Sega rep actually walked me to their booth when I asked. Frankly the booth was less than impressive, showing nothing new except a translated snippet of Lunar. Victor Ireland has always stated his company exists for us, the gamer, and by abandoning Sega over a petty business mistake hurts only us, the gamers. It certainly doesn't hurt Sega, not with WD publishing two games per year! I tend to believe some of ̃the other critics who say this whole thing is the result of a pissing contest over Grandia Which Ireland says has been picked up by SOA instead of Working Designs.
Lastly we come to the people who continue to use the same arguments over and over against the Saturn. Saying things like "Sony has more titles". Have you played any of them? 90% are crap! Another popular response is "PSX games look better than Sega's" Sorry, but I would rather play VF2, Fighters Megamix or Last Bronx than mash a bunch of buttons for a ten hit combo in Tekken. Real gamers will take gameplay over graphics everyday. For those of you who need the graphics excuse look at Marvel Super Heroes, Street Fighter Alpha 2, and Nightwarriors for your aesthetic comparisons.
I am not saying Sega has not made mistakes or that the Saturn is the perfect machine but these are not the faults that need to be examined. U.S. gamers have along way to go to catch up with the country that gave them video games in the first place. I have yet to meet someone who has to turn their Saturn upside down to play it. Everyone who is writing all the negative articles about the Saturn needs to open their eyes and see what they are missing in the midst of all their complaining. I have just spent my wonderful day off playing Last Bronx, Marvel Super Heroes, and a Biohazard battle game and I can see my Playstation sitting in my brothers room collecting dust.
