I do so like Die Hard Arcade!

Recently my arch nemesis the Light Falcon mentioned in his review of DHA that I did not like it. This couldn't be further from the truth. I enjoy the 2 player action, the good zooming, the guns, blood, low-blows, and the fact that picking up a health bonus when at full life gives you a second life meter. I dislike the lack of FMV intro, boring locals, the fact that Deep Scan must be played to have enough credits, the cheesy special move system, the loading time before cinemas, the lack of scoring system or some options to liven things up, the shortness of the game, and the terrible ending. I should mention I found out you get a better ending picture if you beat the game really quickly, but that is not much of a bonus. A much better ending bonus would be if you could make the characters move with your mind upon completion. Am I the only one that wants this feature?!

Despite its many flaws, DHA (or Dynamite Deka) is extremely fun, (hard to tire of a genre so under-represented these days) and you just might play it every time you have a friend or 2 over. When I write a review, I figure I should tell you every single thing I liked about it, and every bad point as well. Then you can make the best judgment possible when deciding to purchase it or not. In review, I let me tell you what games I reviewed that I liked and disliked.

Liked:

-Dynamite Deka
-Real Bout Fatal Fury
-Saturn Bomberman

Disliked:

-Earthworm Jim 2
-Fist
-Netlink Web Browser 3.0 (I don't hate it, but the numerous glaring flaws made me lean this direction)
-Sailormoon Super S

Plus (cheap plug!) I wrote the most popular Saturn mod FAQ on the net, which you can find under the "Hardware" section if you're interested... The fact is I love plenty of other games which I have never reviewed. I try not to add my version if everyone else has said what needs to be said about a game. In the case of Saturn Bomberman, there may have been several reviews already, but non adequately commented on its US translation so I did my own commentary. Lately I'm also trying to make them sort of funny, (with debatable success!) to separate my reviews further from the norm. Let me know what you think of them!

I should also point out a mistake from Dark falcon's review... DHA was programmed entirely by Sega's AM3, not Fox Interactive. Their name is only on the game so that Sega could use the Die Hard license. That's why graphically it's so close to Virtua Cop 2, (though still not as good) in my opinion. I love you all, later guys!
