Blockbuster Petition

As many Saturn owners know, it is nearly impossible to find Saturn games for rent. Blockbuster rarely gets new Saturn games in stock, so you are forced to either buy a game, never get to play it, or use Electronics Boutique's return policy as a form of rental. Blockbuster says that the reason that they don't worry about dealing with Saturn games because the games don't do well. While this may be true, Blockbuster needs to realize that the Saturn userbase has doubled over the past few months and these new users, a long with the old, want Saturn games to rent. In order to let them know this, everyone who would like to see more Saturn games at Blockbuster should go to http://www.blockbuster.com/pass/contact and let Blockbuster know that you want more Saturn games at Blockbuster. If enough Saturn owners write them, it could make a difference.

UPDATE: It appears that Blockbuster has replied to many of you that emailed them with a polite 'no way'. Here is the reply that Blockbuster sent to Bruce McCarthy, Tom Valdes and SniperCK (and I'm sure many others):

Thank you for your recent e-mail concerning the selection of Sega Saturn Game rentals in our Blockbuster stores. Please accept our apologies that the selection does not meet your satisfaction.

Currently, Blockbuster utilizes a complicated process to determine what product should go into our stores. Based on this process, we have not been successful in bringing in Saturn software. As your e-mail demonstrates, there may be pockets of demand out there and, where possible, we have filled those needs. However, there is currently not a large enough customer rental base in our stores to support a large number of Saturn titles. We are continually evaluating this issue and I have forwarded your comments to our product Department for their consideration.

We take your comments as a welcome show of interest and loyalty. Thank you for letting us know how we can better meet your entertainment needs. We value your good will and continued support.

I personally do not think that we should give up on this.
