Four genius kids, genetically altered in a bizarre military experiment, live like lab animals on a top secret base. They stay sane by playing a fantasy role-playing board game, creating an alternate reality to their drab existence. The kids learn they will be separated from each other by General Briggs, their chief captor and decide to open a rift in the fantasy game and their lives. With a roll of the dice, three dirty, angry, comic dwarves from the fantasy game tumble into our world and land in the Bronx. Their mission: rescue the kids from their captors. As if this weren't enough, the rift stays open when the kids are dragged away, and evil orc armies from the fantasy world follow the dwarves into the Bronx.
