Andretti Racing

Review by: John Quint

With a choice of Indy or Stock cars, and 16 tracks to race on.... ...what more could you ask?

Graphics 8\10 - The first thing I noticed about the graphics was they reminded me of Daytona USA. They are clear and neat. The clipping is very good due to the nature of the tight and twisty circuits, but on the ovals it's not quite as good, but still impressive. The cars even take visual damage when you crash.

Sound 9/10 - The sound is excellent and the cars actually sound like the cars that they were modelled after.

Playability 9/10 The Indy cars are a tiny bit jerky but still handle well, and the stock cars are a dream to drive. You can qualify or go straight to the race starting out in sixteenth position. The cars handle the turns really nicely.

Fun Factor 9\10 This game is great fun to play, especially in two player mode. The cars get visual damage and a big crash will result in you being out of the race, of course you can turn damage off if you want.

Overall 9\10 If you like motorsports you will love Andretti racing. Another good thing about this game is that it runs smoother than the Playstation version. With Indy or stock cars, a 2-player mode and 16 tracks to race on, you can't go wrong with Andretti Racing. handle turns really well. If you finish a race in the top 3, You have the option to race for a different team the next season.
