Command & Conquer Review by: Chad Crigler Well the first timed I played it was at my cousins house on his PC. It was red alert and I loved playing it over the net. On the back of the instruction booklet it said it was out for the Sega Saturn. So being hooked to red alert and just buying a Netlink I thought I would buy it. I thought you would be able to play it over the net like red alert. So I went to a store and asked if you could play it over the web and he said no, but I bought it anyway. I thought it was crazy not to make it were you can't play it over the web, but was hooked on it (red alert) so then it didn't matter. I brought it home and played it expecting to chose from Germany... France...ect but instead I got to chose between Nod and Gdi. Although I was wanting to play it over the web it turned out to be a good game. I liked building up my troops and going out to destroy the enemy's base, but that's about it except for the story after each mission. I liked it when Kane takes control instead of is second in ޭcommand. :-) After beating the game there's nothing left to do unless you are really bored and want to use the tips and build up a huge base then nuke the @#$% out of the enemy. :-) But it is a good game and I suggest you rent this game because after you beat it is almost completely worthless! Graphics: 6.5/10 Graphics look like the ones found on the PC. They get the job done, but its not the best part of the game. Music: 5/10 Some people like the music, but really it gets on my nerves real bad. More than once I caught myself singing those stupid songs. >:-( Gameplay: 8.5/10 Gameplay is what this games all about from kicking Kane's butt to conquering the world with Kane. It comes with 2 CD's one for GDI and another for NOD. 2 games in one! Control: 9/10 This game has good control. I thought it wouldn't but it sure fooled me. There are a few things you got to get used to but if you are a regular gamer it comes naturally. Like learning what combinations do certain things. But after you learn them the control becomes very simple. Replay: 3/10 This is where the game has a huge flaw! Why make a game that it's best quality is its ability to play it over the net and leave it out for the Saturn. This game could of helped out the bad sales of the Netlink! If I could plat it over the net it would have great replay value, but since you can't it's only value AFTER you beat it is using it as a coaster to but my glass of tea on. Overall: 7/10 Overall would of been 9/10 if you could play it over the Internet. I hope Westwood will come out with Red Alert for the Saturn with the ability to play it across the net. *** 3 STAR GAME
