Cyber Speedway, known in Japan as the strange Gran Chaser, is a slightly different racer, in that you control sleds, not cars, and is set in the distant future. A big plus point for the game is the excellent level design by Sid Mead, who created the sets for the cult film Bladerunner. Everything looks credibly futuristic and the game gives you a fair impression of speed, even in split screen two player mode. There is a good choice of vehicles and tracks, providing plenty of entertainment for the undemanding player. A decent game which needs more precise control and overall polish.
