Daytona USA Review by: Andrew Hernandez GRAPHICS: Daytona's graphics are nowhere near as good as Sega Rally, or The Need For Speed, or just about any other Saturn racing game. It does however, have little things that make it look more realistic, like dents that are put into the car after certain crashes, (crash the car to a left side wall, and left side of the hood will get smashed, right wall, right side of the hood. Head-on-collisions will completely #@!% up the whole thing) or taking a bad turn into a wall and making the car go ballistic. Don't think the graphics don't suffer though! The backgrounds don't appear until you're a couple of yards from it. --6.5 CONTROL: One of the most important aspects of a game. So does it have good control? You bet! I thought The Need For Speed had the control. Not only does this control better, but the control of the car changes depending on how much damage it takes, it's very cool and realistic. This game has a very arcadey feel, and making hard turns is a breeze once you learn to pull off powerslides. There's also a total of ten cars, and four horses, and they each control differently! [note: Only "Saturn mode" has all these cars, "Arcade mode" has only the first two]. --9.6 MUSIC/ SOUND FX: Yey! it sounds cool! Oh no! the music really sucks!! I'm sorry, but it's just too nauseating to even think about, I rather think about monkeys in mating season, they sound better than that stupid-idiot lead singer, who thinks he can start a new generation of music by his own bastard-@$$ self. I didn't mean to insult anybody. Sorry monkeys. In the other hand the sound effects are very well made, like they should. TRY to ignore the music if you can. --6.3 REPLAY VALUE: I think that (even though the music sucks so dearly much) you'll have a blast playing this game, and you'll go back to it often to try to beat your records, because it's just a lot of fun. --8.5 OVERALL: Just like a lot of other Saturn racing games it's A WISE BUY. (unless you don't like racing games, of course) --7.0
