Daytona USA Championship Circuit EditionReview by: Hayden Gilbert Graphics 8/10. At first boot up, it is easily seen that the whole interface was cleaned up nicely. The game itself runs much smoother. The cars are more detailed, but now seem a little smaller. There still seems to be pop-up, but that never bugged me anyway. Overall the game looks very nice. Sound 7/10. The music is fair, I actually liked the original Daytona music better, but the new stuff isn't bad either. It seems like the same tunes without the lyrics played by a rock band instead. The sound effects are the one thing that have improved. The engines and crashes souns alot better. Gameplay 9/10. Almost identical to its original, it's typical Daytona control. All the cars now have strong and weak characterisitics which can be easily felt in the gameplay. Replay Value 8/10. With 8 cars, annd 5 tracks, and 2 player mode, Sega has made Daytona more enjoyable over a long period of time. In short this game won't get old as quick as the original. Overall 8/10. I owned th original Daytona (but sold it upon hearing the release of Daytona CCE) and The game for the most part an excellent imporvement. Saturn fans won't be dissapointed with the face-lift given to the O-G of the 32-bit racers.
