Duke Nukem 3D
Rating **** stars out of four Duke Nukem 3d is one of the best games out there for the PC and its brought home in exquisitely anarchyic glee by Lobotomy. This game has over 26 levels, new lightsourcing and enhanced music and sfx and very good control that is even better with the analog controller. This is not just a port of the PC, Lobotomy has retained all the fun and original mayhem from the PC megahit but has gone ahead and improved the graphics and sound of the game. The gameplay is pure shooter delight, you've got to shoot, dodge behind a wall pop out and shoot again. I found myself having a great time. The sound effects are really well done, especially if you put on headphones. Remember Thunder force II and its oscillating speaker outputs, well its done as well here. Great care has been made to make the sound effects and music just the right the flavor, just like Lennon and Mccartney when did they did great Beatles album Rubber Soul. This is definitely one of the best games of the season for any system. Especially if your a shooter fan. Plus its a great American comedy of a game with funny one-liners and fast graphic speed. This game is as good a port of Sony PlayStation's Doom. Which was really good. Ultimate Doom paled to its predecessor. I think Duke Nukem 3d is actually better because of its graphics and its creative gameplay. The lightsourcing is done better here than it is in the Quake 2 demo which is still very good. Even if you played it before, Duke Nukem 3D is a blast. Throughout the whole day at college I wanted to go home and play Duke Nuke em 3d.
