Fighting VipersReview by: Rael Concept - Eh, totally funky characters, weird outfits...it works though! Graphics - Kinda like Toy Story...Imagine Woody being a Playstation, Buzz being a Saturn. Woody tells Buzz, "YOU CAN'T FLY!" Buzz says, "CAN!" And does...and it's not flying, but falling, with style! The Saturn does what all the PS owners said it COULN'T do, and does it with flying colors! My only complaint is the horrid polygon droput, and the distant camera angles. Sound - Um...it's a fighting game...what really do you want? Playability/Control - This is where this game shines. Okay, so all the VF2 fans say it's not nearly as 'deep.' Well...I have news for you, while VF2 is a part of my game library, after the first week or so, I got bored with it. Too many moves, too much to do, turned me off. FV might not have the sheer number of difficult moves per character, but so what?? It's FUN. That's what counts in MY book. Moves are easy to do, and the Training Mode has to be the best idea in a video game since RedBook Audio! Other - Well, so far in the American release, I've opened up Mahler, Kumichan, and B.M. Looks like there's room for others. None of the Candy variations work as of yet. If you want a fighting game, and are bored with VF2, look into at least renting Fighting Vipers...however, I just picked up Virtual On, so it's a tough choice if the budget is tight.
