Graphics 8.5/10

The graphics and sprite movement are great! The detail of the movement is good (it even puts SNK to shame!) Magics are spectacular and backgrounds are nicely done. The only problem is that, some characters appear to break up when they reach too close to the camera (since Guardian Heroes is like the Samurai Showdown with the zooming in and out!)

Playability 9.0/10

This is really a kick-ass game that even puts Die Hard Arcade to shame. The movement is okay and the response is good. Expect processor overload if the fight becomes more like a rumble with more than 20 characters on the screen!

Sound 8.3/10

Sounds are good, the voice is clearly heard throughout the game. The only drawback is the BGM, which gets repetitive after a while.

Hardness 6.99/10

Setting the game in easy isn't much fun (99 continues) the real challenge is putting the game in normal or hard mode.

Lastability 8.5/10

With mutiple endings, 45 characters and a whole lot of fun, Guardian Heroes is definitely worth it!

Bottom Line: This game can make even the best SNK game out there be put to shame. This game is worth it ($21.00) and is named "side scrolling adventure game of the year" by EGM magazine. This game is definitely cool!
