Hang On GP 95

Review by: M. Gabor

Let me start out by saying this game cost me 50 buck. It had to have been the worst fifty bucks i ever spent.

GRAPHICS: Let me put it mildly they stink. The game suffers from the same graniness that daytona sufferd from. The funny thing is the game came out one year after DAYTONA. You would think they would learn from they're mistakes. The game also suffers from popup. Not as bad as daytona though.

From a distance the other drivers look like big squares. Another gripe i found was when using the inside the motorcycle view the bike would get jagged and pixalated when you turned.

Gameplay: The game sounds pretty good on the box, choose from 10 bikes on 12 courses against 20 oponents. Well it ain't all its cracked up to be. There are really only 3 courses. Once completing the three in fist place you gain access to 3 more courses. These courses are only extended versions of the first three courses. You will need alot of luck getting first place with the idiotic control this game uses. It is also not that much fun. You'll play it for five minutes then toss it aside and play a good game like Sega rally.

CONTROL: Let me put it this way you will probably want to shoot yourself try to learn how to control the bikes. The control is terrible when you turn your'e right on the ground. The control is so sensitive that if you tap the arrow your all over the place. There is also no in between. Your either going staright or smashing into things. I can't stress how bad the control is. You can't seem to maneuver at all. It just frustrates you until you can't play anymore. On a scale of one to ten I give control a big 0.

Sound. Just when you think it can't get anyworse. This game has the worst sound ever found on any game ive ever played. It reminds me of the 8-bit nintendo sounds. The sound your bike makes sounds like a lawnmower. It is the most iritating sound ever. The music is not much better. After a few minutes you'll be hitting that mute button.

For racing thrills stick with daytona or Sega rally it's much more worth your while.
