Last Bronx Review by: Kabal Gamers, get ready for the Last Bronx! The long awaited fighting game, Last Bronx, is now available on import. And in case you're wondering weather tis worth the wait, read on. Last Bronx is a 3D fighting game in the lines of Virtua Fighter and Tekken but with the usage of blunt weapons. You can choose between 8 gang leaders, and ditch it out in an fenced arena. Each character has his/her own unique weapons and styles:-
Yusaku- hero, biker team, three section staff The are eight menus, Arcade Mode, VS mode, Saturn mode, Time mode, Survival mode, Movie and options. In Saturn mode, finish the game with any characters and you will be treated with a short ending. The graphics in LB are incredible. The characters don't look as good as VF2, but are still good. The backgrounds are amazing. The look very detailed, especially with things like a vending machine and an aeroplane. Gives a realistic feel when you're basing a few heads with Zaimoku, and it really make you get into the game. Sounds effects are clear, and when when you hit someone, the "thud" of that weapon sounds very satisfying! Voices are spoken in clear Japanese, although I did not understand a word. Music are average complete with a theme song at the intro. Oh, did I forgot to say that the videos are all anime? They look very cool! Controls are smooth, but not as smooth as VF2. You have three main buttons- guard, weapon and kick. Gameplay borrows heavily from VF2, but in a unique kind of way. The usage of weapons also adds a new twist to the Sega storyline. In short, Last Bronx is a must-buy for ALL Saturn owners, especially since we are lacking good 3D fighters. Grab the import, or wait for the US release, it's your choice. To deny this game is to deny the Saturn!
