FIGHTERS MEGAMiX Review by: Dan Sullivan It has to be said that Sega rule the roost when it comes to fighting games and Fighters Megamix reaffirms that position. It's hard to say how good this game is but an attempt must be made. Megamix allows control of not only the VF characters but FV lot as well, the addition of secret characters only adds to the longevity. Some are completely useless others perhaps too hard but AM2 prove again they know what the pro-player wants. The graphics are low-res but the amount on screen makes up for this. The detail is amazing (especially Siba's stage from VF3) with a different background for every character, Bean's is especially fun. The players are smooth and respond very well, with VF3 moves added to the fighters the move repertoire is large. Sonics are important in fighting games (inspiration and all that..), again AM2 rocks us to amazing tunes. Gameplay wise it can't really be faulted, juggles and counters aplenty to keep anyone at it for ages. The combos are as smooth as ever and reward the hardened player (CRUSH YOUR FRIENDS FOR THEIR AUDACITY TO CHALLENGE YOU!!!) Megamix is simply one of the best games I've ever played, this is the beat-em-up bible of course their are a few flaws,Rentahero has the king of cheese moves, some characters are way too hard (akira, siba and ura bahn) and the vipers air recovery is not too helpful (a side jump would have been better..) These can be forgiven..Buy this game!Do kage's izna drop! Do akira's stunpalm of doom!! And be awed by possibly the best game EVER!!!!!!!!!!!
