GRAPHICS:
I own Virtua Fighter 2, and Fighters Megamix, I also used to own Fighting Vipers, so I can honestly say that the graphics in this game are far weaker than Virtua Fighter 2, but better than Fighting Vipers. At first, one hates buying this game and getting a lower quality game than VF2. However, this game is about 30% faster than VF2 (like FV), and uses Gourad shading to enhance the overall appearance, therefore the minor lackage of resolution becomes forgettable. Unfortunately, once you forget about the graphical problems and play VF2 again, you're once again reminded. Since the graphics in this game are a little better than FV's (just take a look at the FV characters) but less so than VF2, and it has a great intro. It comes to be a --9.1

CONTROL:
The controls are the best part of the game. You can set it to FV or VF2 style, enhancing the control factor. All the VF2 + FV moves are in, plus some new ones from VF3 (like the side throws, all throw counters, and air recoveries for the VF2 characters). The speed of the game (60 fps) makes it control even better than FV. On the down side, many characters have huge advantage over others (like B.M!). One of the best new additions to this game is the ability to go around people, making it truly 3-D (like Tobal. Sorry die-hard Saturn players). --9.8

MUSIC/ SOUND FX:
The sounds are good, but it has several problems. For instance, the music doesn't keep going when you win, so you only get to hear a part of the stage's theme. Some times, the sound effects never even come, while this problem is not FMM exclusive, there is much more of it here. There are a few new soundtracks, but overall, nothing great. --8.8

REPLAY VALUE:
While most people that own VF2 or even FV are not going to appreciate it much, newcomers should really check this game out because it kicks-ass. The new characters are mostly to be ignored (except, maybe Janet) because they lack too much - including design. In the end, as I've said, you'll enjoy it longer w/out VF2 or FV. --8.9

OVERALL:
This is a great buy, unless you are too worried on the minor graphical problems. The only way you'll dislike this game is if you dislike VF2 or FV or both. --9.0
