NHL All Star Hockey

Much like WSB, I find NHL AS Hockey to be both impressive and depressive at the same time. While this game offers you all of the options and statistics that you could hope for, it really falls short in terms of graphics. While the rink looks great the players themselves are flat and pixilated. At first, the game seems to be bad on the gameplay, but once you take the time to get used to it, you will soon find it to be superior to any of EA's hockey incarnations on the Genesis. Thats not to say that the gameplay is perfect, thought, because it is far from it. First of all there are a couple hundred more checks in this game than in real hockey, and even worse the checks are really lame looking, and the wrist shots are not really handled that well. I really love this game, but I want much more, hopefully next year's game will be vastly improved.
