NiGHTSReview by: Tristan Vance The storyline is very unqiue and well cool. It takes place in Nightopia thats the place where our dreams are played out. The heros of the show are Elliot and Claris and of course NiGHTS he flys and does cool tricks and is and all around hip happening kinda guy. The villian is Wizeman the wicked (boo! get him off the stage!) he captures precious dream energy from humans if he's not stopped he will rise from the subconsious and enter our world (Where he would drink Pink Lemonade well watching Monday Night Football on a deserted island with Gilligan) And no power on Earth can stop him. The plot is a Nightopian escapes from Nightopia and beg are sleeping heros Elliot and Claris to save the world from a evil being. So they accept his desperate request. The Nightopia exaplains to them they gotta recover four types of dream energy from Wizemans Crew. The four energies purity, wisdom, hope, intelligence. The color of energies well nobody really cares. So your mission if you choose to accept it is to stop Wizeman from entering the world. D-Pad Control: %110 Well this game reminds me of that flipping underwater mammal Echo the Dolphin, but with Echo it was underwater and the water would slow you down. But with NiGHTS your in the air and you get that total sense of freedom. The Control it beyond perfect it's in some other demension for control, I could do perfect circles and spin and dives with my tongue althought I had to buy another controller later it was all worth it. Sound Sound and More Sound: %120 This game is a ears delight no matter what kinda music you like. It's got a soundtrack on it to. Call me strange but I always seem to be a sucker for Sega music I can remember Sonic 3 I used to listen to the end Music over and over again actually I still do. The sound effects are marvelous. And right now I'm listening to the NiGHTS soundtrack I just popped it into my cd player (avoid 1-2 not very healthy for the old player) skipped to number 3 sat back and relaxed. Number 21 is the best of the bunch it's a douet with Elliot and Claris a must listen. Also the Nightmarens have there own theme song with Opera signers, drums, and things that go boo in the night. I had to hide under my bed the first time I listened to it. All this great sound is just spectacular! Graphics: %110 The array of colours is unreal. Some real depth and time must have been taken to this. The polygons are looking great as ever and with that great artistist flavour it makes a great mixture. Degree of Difficulty: %90 I could only give it 90 here. In the levels I hardly even noticed that there was badies like where are they I could hardly tell if they were bad guys or good guys. The End Bosses are a challenge thought it's not like Sonic Headgehog where the bad it always the same and you always hit him in the same spot. Also if you don't deposit enough Blue Chips at the Ideya Capture you fall to the Earth and either take up the mission as Elliot or Claris whoever your playing and have to take it by foot making it very challengin indeedy the worst thing about this is that you have a time limit there to. And if you go oever time your soon to be running away from a floating cloak that is very eager to go over and make you start from the begginging (thats not very nice is it) Each boss has it's own unique way of being beaten. Making it very difficult to figure out the way to beat the guy. The Points you have to get to goto the next level are pretty easy to collect after you get the hang of flying. Longbility %100 You could come back to this level over and over again even after you've ended it. It can become addicting to I know I played it for about 3 hours straight. I also find it kinda relaxing and noneffortless flying in little loops (dreamy man). I would come back to it an time I felt the need to have fun and relax. Overall Experience: %110 Alot of this game reminds me of Sonic The Hedgehog in many ways some of Camera Angles are the same as Sonic the Hedgehog but this game has a whole aura unqiue to it's own. I know I keep saying unqiue all the time but it's true each game has it good points and points that need to be improved and parts that make it cool and fun. NiGHTS is no exception a must buy for any Sega Saturn owner out there and for anyone who's thinking of buying a Saturn. Well thats all from me Happy Gaming!
