Panzer Dragoon

Panzer Dragoon is easily the best looking of the first Saturn releases and is easily the best looking shooter of all time. The visuals are a sight to behold. The dragon is gorgeous as are the breathtaking backgrounds. The water is textured beautifully, creating the best looking water scenes ever in a video game. If Sega would have marketed this game more to show off the potential of the Saturn, I am sure more people would have purchased it. While the game is "on rails", you do have a good amount of freedom of movement, and the ability to look to look (and shoot) to your sides and behind you is a first, and is done quite well. The action could be a bit faster, but is great anyways. The music in Panzer is also top notch and is beautifully orchestrated, it really helps with the feel of the game. Overall, Panzer Dragoon is some of the best eye candy available with solid game play to boot, a "must buy" for any early Saturn owner.
