Quake
Quake is definetely one of the best Saturn games available. And it is a Saturn only exclusive (other thatn computer) until the n64 version comes out. Graphics: Quake definetely has the best graphics of all the first person shooters available for Saturn. It runs at a fast speed and everything is totally polygonal. Although it is a little pixleated it still doesn't take away from the games suspense. 10\10 Sound: All the sound effects and music was made by the Nine Inch Nails. The music during the game is rally good if you like that constant weird doom style music. It really adds to the element of suspense in this game. The sound effects are awesome. Especially the screams of the monsters as you shoot nails at their faces. The other sound effects like when you open a door or shoot a gun they are also very good. I like to turn up the volume and make my whole house shake when i kill guys. 9\10 Weapons: The weapons are pretty good. They feature an Axe, Shotgun, Super Shotgun, Nailgun, Super Nailgun, Rocket Launcher, Grenade Launcher, and a Lightning Gun. After a while the guns do get a little boring, but there is nothing like pulling out a super nailgun and killing some evil dudes. 8.5\10 Levels: Although the levels are cut short in some places they still are pretty long and very difficult in latter episodes. There are four exclusive saturn levels (the secret ones) and 27 other levels totaling at 31 levels. There are four episodes each with about 7 levels in them. 9.5\10 Other Stuff: The thing that surprised me most about this game was that it was only rated teen. I think that in total there are 13 different bad guys plus two bosses. The control is much better with the analog control pad. The worst thing about saturn Quake is that it lacks two player mode. It doesn't even have netlink support. This game is really hard, even in easy mode, so you won't blast through the game in a week or two. 7\10 Overall: Overall this game kicks ass and should definitely be in every saturn owners game library. 9\10 I would have given it 10\10 if it had a two player mode.
