Review by Dave Z.
Shinobi Legions is the most recent of the long line of impressive
platformers in this great series. The digitized graphics of Sho are excellent
and the rendered backgrounds feature many layers, and are extremely detailed.
The play mechanics are pure Shinobi, featuring the classic double jump,
sword slices, and shurikens throws. The levels go both horizontally and
vertically in the typical Shinobi fashion. If you've played the other games
in this series you'll feel a sense of deja vu, while some may find this
to be a problem, I don't. As I always say, If it aint broke, don't fix
it! The bosses, while not the usual huge Shinobi bosses, are pretty challenging.
Overall, this is easily the best in the series, and by far one of the best
games available for the Sega Saturn.
Overall: 8/10
