Slayers Royal Review by: Rukawa Note: The perspective of this review is written by a Slayers Fan. Slayers is one of the finest Anime-based RPG game I have ever seen on the Saturn. Here are the reason why. Graphics : 10 out of 10, heck if you like animation and 3-D rendered characters, this is the game for you. There are a lot of animation packed in to this game, with a great intro that just rock. The 3-D rendered characters are really nice, it is really nice to watch when Lina Inverse does her Dragon Slave or her fireball. Music : 9 out of 10, the music in this game great with a lot of different variation of themes through out the quest, the only disappointment in this category is that Slayer has so many great songs in the anime-series, but they only included two song. Sound : 10 out of 10, there were so many voices and effect in the battle scene and the adventure scene that just keeps you hooked on the entire game. Gameplay : 7 out of 10, this is absolutely the most disappointing part of this game. The game is way too easy for anybody plus it is way too short of a quest. There is a set amount of battle designed in it, so there aren't too many fights (maybe around 20-30) battles and the game is over. The battle screen is an over head 3-D isometric map, with automatically zoom in while a fight or a spell occurs. All the battles are real time, so you need to input command for each of your party member. You don't get to level up in this game or learn more magic because you already knew them, for example in the first battle you can already cast the most devastating magic of all time- Dragon Slave, which wiped out 3/4 of the entire enemy team, I remember the most I ever killed with this spell was somewhere between 15-20 lazer demons. Overall : 9 out of 10, with great graphics, musics and sound, any anime fans will like this game if they could have made this game a little bit longer, it could even be better, maybe they should have used 2 disks instead on 1. It was one fun game, I really enjoyed playing it!
