Gameplay Tip from Rish Gustafson
If you have a really fast defensive back on your team (ex. Deion Sanders, James Trapp) try putting him in at receiver. This obviously puts more speed at the WR slots so you can burn slow DB's. It is especially good to do this when playing vs. a friend for that extra big play potential.

Great clock control play: from Brett Anthony
On offense, select Normal, Pro Form, Quick Outs. If you are on the left hashmark, throw it to the C receiver. If you are on the right hashmark, throw it to the A receiver. Wait till they make their cut. As soon as they do, throw a bullet pass to the receiver. He will catch it and be heading for the side line. It is good for a first down everytime and stops the clock if you run out, so it is a great play if you need to get down the field and score with out wasting a lot of time. It takes about five seconds to run.

The Option from Rich Gustafson
This is what I would like to call The Option. And if you know anything about NFL football you know they usually don't run it. But any ways you can run it by choosing Normal, 3WR, or 4WR, then choose Shotgun, then HB Toss. To do this trick you need two people, one that is the running back, and the other the quarterback. When the ball is hiked, move the RB about 5 yards away from the QB, then if you want to pitch it press Right Shift. This works best with the Steelers since we all know Kordell "Slash" Stewart knows how to run the option.

After you have mastered the option from Brett Anthony
There is another option to run. It is also with two players only. Choose Normal or 4WR and then Shotgun. Pick the play "HB Off Tackle." You are now running the Air Force style option with the QB going outside and the HB going inside. Run the same direction the play was designed to go. Use R-shift to pitch.

When running either option from Brett Anthony
After the initial pitch, try keeping the QB close (but not too close) to the running back or switching to a nearby reciever if your QB is too slow. I've had great success pitching the ball back and forth until reaching the endzone.

More option help from Brett Anthony
Try trading Kordell Stewart to the Lions. He has 89 speed to go along with Barry Sanders' 90. It a perfect match. Plus, you only get this trade when you play with Modified Rosters switched to "On." That way, it's easy to play the regular teams.

On a break away play from James Brillantes
Push C when all the defenders are left in the dust. If they are far enough away, you'll high step until they get too close or until you score.

Good Play from Dana Wastjer
3WR / NEAR / POST DRAG. Run the play so the B man is running his pattern on the long side of the field. Throw the ball to B right away. When you instant replay, you see that when B and C cross, B's defender gets caught up with C and his defender. B is almost always wide open and is running for the sideline.
