Hint from Michiel Pol
Shining the Holy Ark
When you enter the east shrine take your first turn left, then you go right to the statue where you go left through the door. Kill the plant in this room and climb it. Now go down the stairs and open the door.Now you have to walk straight on until you hit the wall opposite of the door, turn around with your back against the wall and face the door. Now step one step forward and then one step back and repeat this until you are attacked by a "Hattari". It's a tricky little critter and it runs away a lot or hits you with spark level 2 but when you kill it with your strongest characters (magic does not work on it) you will get 3333 exp and 533 exp from you leprechauns. After you kill it you can refill your life with "pray"magic or "aura"magic".
The machine used was a French pal Sega Saturn and the European version of shining the holy arc so it may not work on an American machine.
Tip for Riddle at the end of the South Shrine from Salen Lukas
Here is a set of equations to help solve the riddle at the end of the South Shrine. You need to give seven stones to two gods equally.Ruby = a
Onyx = b
Sapphire = c
Opal = d
Emerald = e
Aquamarine = f
Diamond = g
a = 2b
c = b + d
e = b + d + f
g = e + f
d + c = b + e
b = 2f
Work it out.
If you do not want to go through all of that, here is the answer. Give one god the ruby, opal, and diamond. Give the other god the onyx, sapphire, aquamarine, and emerald. You will then have to fight a witch ( who will summon mummies). She is tough, so have your hit points and magic points up. After defeating her you will acquire the Sacred Sword. Good Luck!

Harass the Shopkeeper trick from Seong-Shin Hong
For any weapon, armor, or tool shop, here's a little trick that will give you awesome items. First, talk to the shopkeeper (hit A or C). Then just mash on the B button to cancel everything (as if you decided to leave immediately without buying anything). You should result in having stopped talking to the shopkeeper and you are standing there doing nothing. I call this method "harassment."Basically, you want to "harass" the shopkeeper until he/she offers you an item (since you leave so many times without buying a single thing!). Watch out though, the shopkeeper may offer you an item the FIRST time you "harass." Anyway, if you start seeing the shopkeeper saying something unusual, stop your B button mashing so you can choose "YES" to buy the item.
I have always gotten an item that is superior in comparison. For weapons, I got a better staff or a cooler axe (just two examples). For armor, I got much better robes and plates. For items, I have even gotten a Brave Apple for a paltry 1000 gold!! (hint: I did the harassment at Mirage Town)
So you get the idea. I know that my harassment method is kind of intuitive, so those who figure it out by themselves get more fun out of the game than by reading this hint and ruining it for themselves. :)

Tip for the East Shrine from Seong-Shin Hong
In the East Shrine, to get past those annoying sliding walls that move if you walk over the shift buttons, you have to run. On the 3rd level, all you have to do is get AWAY from the button (give yourself some running space behind the button) and then run like hell over the button and you'll make it through the doorway before the wall slides back.Then, on the 4th floor, you may feel stuck at one part. There's a switch button, then directly in front of it is a twister-thingy (the thing that rotates you around 90 degrees to the left if you step on it). Directly in front of the twister-thingy is a sliding door.
Now, to get past this part, you have to step on the button. Turn left 90 degrees. Then hold the B button (to strafe) and slide rightward (so you step onto the twister-thingy. Then IMMEDIATELY move backwards. You should have made it through before the sliding door closed! (there are other ways to do this by stepping forward onto the twister-thingy and then sliding rightward through the doorway, but hey.)
Some people may yell at me for writing a whole tip about this part, and I don't blame them. For some people it's simple as pie. As for me, the pie was still frozen. It took me forever to figure this out! I just hope I helped the irate people who hate Sega for making such annoying puzzles in an RPG. :)
Finding Doyle from adept@netrax.net
You do not have to defeat all three shrines in order to get Doyle in your party. You only have to defeat the South Shrine. After you talk to the village leader and Doyle disappears, he can be found posing as a tree in Desire Village. Get him early and get him some levels.Power Attack Tip from Salen Lukas
I'm not sure if this will work for everyone but, I found something that seems to be working. I equipped Lisa with the Force Sword and Basso with the Dragon Axe. They are both doing more "power" attacks than I have seen them do, and they are doing them more often. I have not found any weapons for the other people that do the same thing. Give it a try, you may be able to defeat opponents quickly.Power Attack for Main Charcter from Albert Schmitz
The weapon for your main character that increases the amount of power attacks is the shining sword.Cut down on enemy encounters from Patrick Ennis
If you are at a point in the game where you want to keep enemy encounters to a minimal then this is the trick for you. It is not guaranteed to work every time but most of the time it does. When you are walking through the dungeon or forest or whatever listen for the CD to start loading, it usually means that an enemy will attack the next step you take in that direction, to avoid this enemy turn a different direction, take one or two steps away turn around and go back the way you had intended before. You will most likely not be attacked and can continue to search around.Doyle's Weapon from wesw@concentric.net
The weapon that increases power attacks for Doyle is the Mithril Claw which can be made from the Mithril Ingot. It may take several tries but keep at it and eventually the Blacksmith will make one for you.Final 2 Bosses from wesw@concentric.net
Also for anyone who's having trouble with the final 2 bosses, here are some tips that'll make you so strong that you'll be able to just toy with Panzer. The key is using spells. Use Melody's Restore lv2 spell on your key members so that they'll all recover 100 Hp with every turn. Next you must use either Lisa's Barrier or Akane's God's wind to decrease the enemies breath damage. Also use Negate often to dispel any defensive spells the enemy has cast. Other key spells include Shield which decreases Magic damage, Support which increases your defense and speed, and the attack and ferocity spells which increase your attacks. It may be rough going in the early rounds so you'll have to heal often early on. But once you use Barrier or God's Wind, you'll take about 20 to 30 percent less damage from any breath attacks. And you can continue to use any of the above spells making yourself stronger and stronger until the enemy can hardly hurt you. Even if they do, the Restore spell will recover 100 Hp per move. I managed to increase some of my character's attack to 670+, Def to 500+, Agi 320+, Magic Defense 270+, Breath Defense 300+. Make note, I did this against Panzer as he doesn't negate any of your spells unlike Rilix. However the same strategy will work with Rilix. Use your Negate spell often against Rilix as she often uses similar defensive enhancing spells.Best Weapon for Rodi: from Mark
I acquired a katana called "Kusanagi" after a random encounter with a Spike Dragon on the 3rd level of Desire Mine. After equipping Rodi with this weapon, he started doing a lot more power attacks, but the most amazing attack is a special "Critical Strike" he performs which kills enemies with one shot! The Critical Strike only works on regular enemies; it didn't work on Panzer or Rilix or Panzer's evil buddies (they received damage, but "dodged" the Critical Strike). I did manage to kill both of Rilix's Evil Vampires in 3 rounds, though! Unknown whether or not the weapon is offered as a sale item in any weapon shop. Akane can equip the weapon as well and her power attack percentage increases.More Random Items from Estlor
I found two spots where special items are dropped. The first are the Hatori mentioned in a tip above about experience. While they give you plenty, they also occasionally give up Dragon Orbs. This means you can have more than the one you find in a chest. If you're patient you can get one for every member (I have received two so far).Also, in the Tower of Illusions I received an item called the Turbo Boots (I cannot remember the monster that dropped it though). These raise your agility, and anyone can use them. I recommend giving a pair to Basso if you find them.

Tip from Brandon
On the second floor of Desire mine. You can get a red dagger from the Dragils. This increases your critical. You can also get a holy tears from the Barstroke. This will give you up to 100mp, and that comes in handy when you face Relix and panzer.Tower of Illusion from Chris Merrymon
Assume that the Tower of Illusion is to the North. Then the tablets are as follows:West Tablet: "Face the Illusion, hold your Right hand aloft, enter from the South and offer it to me."
Begin South of this tablet and turn to face the West. Then slide (use the B button) to the right over the tablet.
East Tablet: "Face the Illusion, hold your Right hand aloft, enter from the North and offer it to me."
Begin North of this tablet and turn to face the East. Then slide (again with the B button) to the right over the tablet.
South Tablet: "Face the Illusion, hold your Left hand aloft, enter from the East and offer it to me."
Begin East of this tablet and turn to face the North. Then slide (will they ever end with this B button thing ?) to the left over the tablet.
North Tablet: "Face the Illusion, hold both hands aloft, enter from the South and offer it to me. Be Warned, you must offer all three words before hand.
After completing the West, East, and South tablets approach the North tablet directly from the South. The tower should now be open to you.
NOTE: After completing each of the tablets, a tone will be heard to let you know you did it right.
Get Pixie Bell from Balentine
First you have to get all of the Pixies. Then, you go to the "Courageous Pixies Monument" and Press and hold down C. All of the Pixies should attack the Monument. Then, the Pixie Queen will come out an give you a Pixie Bell. You can use this to summon all of the Pixies at once. This will do about 400+ damage to the enemy.
